July
2nd
Ahh I've been so bad at keeping this thing up to date. I'll try to remember as much as I can. Tonight was Canada Day (even though it's after midnight so the entry will say the 2nd.) I went downtown with
Chris,
Jen, and
Sarah to watch the fireworks. Driving back was soooo slow with all the traffic and took foreeever. We got some McDonalds before going home. Last night I went to
Summerside to hang out with
Noel,
Joey and Jon. We did some barbecue and watched a movie. This morning we went out to Thunder Cove, but I forgot to bring shorts and couldn't go swimming. It was nice to be out though and I got a tiny bit of a sunburn.
Last week I went to a couple shows at Baba's. Tuesday night I went to see The Gypsies with
Jen and
Sarah. While I was there I talked to Caolan's little brother Brohen. Haven't seen him in aages. (I ran into him at the liquor store again last night though.) Thursday night I was out to Baba's again to see
Chris' band, The Sidewalks, play. It was my first time seeing em and it was really cool.
Saturday I hung around downtown with
Sarah for a while. She wanted to show me some of the cool shops that I've never been to. First we had breakfast at Cora's though. Man that place is expensive and delicious.
Saturday evening I went out to the Gate for food with everyone from
Summerside, plus
Andrew, and
Rob, who I haven't seen in a while. Afterwards I got everyone over to my place to drink and hang out.
Tyler and Alison came too, and then
Jen,
Chris and Darcy got home a little later, so we ended up having quite a few people over.
Tomorrow I've gotta go search for Trauma Center 2 after work. I can't wait to play it! There are way too many worthwhile DS games being released this Summer.

I suppose I should write something here about the weekend before I forget. All but two of my roommates and I went on a cross-
PEI camping trip. (It included
Andrew, Tasha,
Jen,
Chris, Darcy,
Sarah, Andrea, and me.) We started Friday after
Chris and I finished work by going to see
Jen's play, The Nine Lives of L. M. Montgomery, in Georgetown. After that we stayed in a little bed and breakfast in Souris. That was my first time in Georgetown, or Souris, and my first time in a bed and breakfast.
The next morning the lady that runs the B&B cooked us some breakfast, and we left for East Point. We did some beach walking and took a tour of the lighthouse (they gave us ribbons to prove we had been there) then left for Basin Head.
I've never been to Basin Head (obviously) but it's a really awesome beach with a river sort of thing that you can jump off of a wharf or bridge into. The water was nice and we got a lot of swimming time in.
After Basin Head we went to Cavendish, stopping at St. Peters on the way. In Cavendish we got a picture taken at Grandpa's Antique Photo Studio. I wasn't too enthusiastic about it at first, but once we were all dressed up it was pretty amusing and the pictures turned out great.
From Cavendish we went to
Andrew's parents cottage in Lot 16 to camp out. We sat out with a fire for a bit, and then tried to sleep, but not many of us got much rest that night.
Sunday morning found us heading farther west through Tyne Valley, and then to Alberton for lunch. We then backtracked a little to check out Lennox Island, another place I've never been, which wasn't super exciting, but worth seeing. Next stop on the list was the Potato museum in O'Leary for some shots with the giant potato, and then to West Point to check out another lighthouse and collect rocks on another beach. There are some really impressive wind turbines out West which were cool to see.
After a quick stop at Tim's for some food we left for Tignish and then North Cape. We didn't know this, but having ribbons from East Point allowed us to get "tip-to-tip" certificates, and new ribbons, so we got more souvenirs! Before heading back to
Charlottetown we ate supper at a restaurant called "Cousins" in Tignish (really great place to eat) and then got ice cream at the Frosty Treat in Kensington.
So that's it! Quite the weekend, but I was glad to get home and play some Etrian Oddysey 2 before heading to bed.
