I guess I owe this site an update as my last entry was in May. I always feel bad when I skip an entire month, cause sometime down the road I'll be looking back through these and wondering if anything significant happened, and I was just too lazy to write anything about it.

In this case it really does seem like nothing really did happen last month. The weather has been really lousy, which really isn't too bad cause I've been working weekends and wouldn't have time to get to the beach if a warm weekend did happen to present itself anyway.

This weekend the weather is supposed to improve a bit so I'm thinking either a day trip to Moncton, or just a regular old visit to Thunder Cove will be in order. On Sunday there's a belated baby shower for Tyler and Bailey's son Kohen at Dad's place so I'll be spending the weekend home in Summerside either way.

These last few days I've been playing Metal Gear Solid 4 pretty much every chance I get. I'm nearly at the end apparently and it has been an amazing experience! For a while I was starting to think games these days just weren't good anymore, but this one set me straight. MGS4 is a video game masterpiece if there ever was one. Amazing gameplay, story, graphics, sound, along with plenty of throwbacks for serious fans of the series makes this one of the best games I've played in a long time. Lately I'm also starting to become a bit enthusiastic about the Playstation 3, which is weird cause I really thought it was a total failure just a few months ago.

Tonight I was feeling nostalgic and creative so I made a few upgrades to Fourside and removed the password protection from the signup. The site gets a little slow every Summer, but I'm thinking it'd be neat to have a few new members (if anyone is even interested) and maybe even some people to post interesting updates. I guess it's hard to expect a site to grow after being small for nearly ten years but we'll see.

I guess I had more to write than I expected. Maybe I'll try to get back into the habit of writing smaller, more regular, updates over the Summer.

Just got back half an hour ago from Summerside. It was really nice out today so I picked up Andrew and went down to meet up with Joey and Jon and then head out to the beach. We went to Cousin's Shore today, which doesn't have a lot of shade, so we had to leave Buddy home just this one time. The water is still too cold for good swimming so we did a lot of exploring. We went waaay to the right from the beach entrance around some kinda scary and exciting cliffs to get to some areas that very few people have likely been through. As usual we stopped by the dairy bar on the way home and ate very large quantities of poutine.

Thursday night was pretty awesome. In the evening I met up with Jaclyn at Baba's to see The Sidewalks play with a great band from Ireland called Fred. There weren't much of a crowd for The Sidewalks' performance, but they put on a great, fun show as usual. By the time Fred went on Baba's had filled up quite a bit which must've been a relief for the guys in the band as they came pretty far to play here. They put on a GREAT show. After it was over Jaclyn and I both bought copies of their CD (along with half of the guys in The Sidewalks) and stuck around for a bit to chat with the band and get some signatures. It's too bad Fred likely won't be playing here again anytime soon though, cause I would see em again for sure.
